Explicitly teach project planning and planning for due dates
AP classes ask students to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and an increased workload in general. A calendar of due dates may not be enough for many students. Providing checkpoints along the way for students, particularly at this time of the year, allows them to work the muscle of pacing themselves on large projects.
