Teach students how to give feedback to each other and practice this skill during class time

Students can learn a great deal from giving and receiving feedback to others. This requires students to interact deeply with the content and evaluate work, activating critical higher order thinking skills. In addition, students may be more receptive to feedback from peers. This skill must be explicitly taught and practiced during class time to be executed effectively.
