Challenge Problems for Students

Purpose

To engage students in enrichment activities that build a sense of belonging through mutual contributions from teacher and students.

Outcome

Through faculty support, all students develop their skills and the mindsets to challenge themselves via self-directed enrichment activities.

Action Steps

  • As a way for students to be consistently engaged in building skills at an appropriate level of challenge, teachers create a space in the classroom where students can grab challenge problems during work time.
  • The teacher and students contribute problems to the challenge problem wall, which increases a sense of belonging.
