Daily Mindfulness Routine

Purpose

To promote increased focus, class participation, and a sense of academic belonging; at the beginning of every class, students and teachers silently meditate for five minutes.

Outcome

Students develop the self-management, self-discipline, and emotional regulation skills to succeed in AP coursework and on the AP exam.

Action Steps

  • Establish a mindfulness routine using the tools in the addendum.
  • Teach students the routine and regularly practice it.
